one might think that Council of Ra is one of a powerful secret society, another conspiracy of world domination. but it is for different purpose. nobody can tell a story about it existance -no people, no organisation, no place, no history, no myth, no legend, no nothing.
he himself only living his function, so does everybody else. for every death note he received, he knew he hot to do it to fulfill his function -maintaining effectiveness for equilibirium. Eliminator, like him, functioned to eliminate redundancy. Redundant that is not living to their purpose.
for every person which does not lived to their function must be eliminated. just like the first Redundant that he eliminated, an old man whom he stabbed his neck with a pencil to cut a hole and put in a maggot, which was a host of a flesh eating bacteria. the Redundant old man rotted in a day, leaving nothing but one big maggot that he got it burned with a furnace to complete the checklist on the death note.
despite the cruelty of his function, he really understand the necessity. if one person doesn't live to his function, it will resulted for another person to do his, and another person to do the latter, and so on. one person would live other person life. incompetence creates degradation in quality of life. when more than a person doing the same task, one whom neglecting it becomes Redundant. for such a trouble a Redundant cause, he deserved all the cruelty and the pain of the elimination.
but not all Redundant got eliminated. he himself has becomes Redundant before, for him has be catogerize as Reserved by the Council of Ra. but he didn't know this. the Reserved has then been reprogram for a new function -sort of a re-birth. he will have all new identity, new life and new memory. for most of the Reserved, they will replaced the Redundant that has been eliminated. that is why in most of the death note, Redundant must be eliminated without a trace. for the Reserved, it will be the function of the Abductor.
and for all of this decided by the Council of Ra, nobody know about it as it is not exist -no people, no organisation, no place, no history, no myth, no legend, no nothing. but the death note that he received is real.
now he knew that he is not the Eliminator anymore, but a Redundant. death note must had been send, not to him but for him. it would be easy to hide but he know it better that the Eliminator had been program to recognize every disguise as part of their competency for being an angel of death, to find whoever, whenever and wherever. then how could he runaway from his own shadow.
he had seen his death as part of him is still have the function of the Eliminator -strapped into an airtight chamber and fitted with a heart monitor. presented with a death cocktail but for him the sodium thiopental for sedation been skipped. pancuronium bromide injected to his left arm in order to make him paralyze but it doesn't kept him from signalling the pain, only enough to make him resigned from any movement and remain his conciousness. then after the paralytic drug take effect, potassium chloride injected meant to stop the heart. he can feel the toxic stream rushing to his heart before been pumped through all the vein in his body, scattered the pain while he gasping, coughing and flailing his body violently.
for that he know that it will be only one way for him to handle his fate. it could not be resolved by running or hiding but by facing the death itself.
